Hi Swim & Dive Families!
I've had a couple of questions about tomorrow's meet. The bus leaves at 8:30. The meet starts at 11:00. This is a different time than is listed on the schedule. Can't wait to see everyone in the morning!!

Natalie Bolin Spirit Invite Champions!
Hi Swim & Dive Families!
I thought you might want to check out some of the completely fun photos from Saturday's Natalie Bolin Spirit Invite. The Spirit Invite is definitely a team favorite each year--what's not to like? There's always all kinds of swimmers dressed in costumes, lots of cheering, and plenty of fast swims. Plus, there's always a chance that we'll win a cake at the end.
The Invite is a varsity event, but the whole team is always involved.
We always have the BEST cheering section at the meet.
Not only did we win the meet, but we took 2nd place in the spirit portion which means we won a cake:
Hooray for fun swim meets!

Six Awesome Athletes of the Week!
Hi Swim & Dive Families!
I apologize for being late posting last week's awesome Athletes of the Week--I was in Chicago helping my parents. Emily Valence, Sammie Spanbauer, and Bella Cortina were chosen as our fantastic Athletes the week before last. This past week's Athletes of the Week were Morgan Marquardt, Shelby Larson, and Karla Rodriguez.
All six ladies have had great seasons and have contributed to the team, both in the water and out. Way to go, ladies! We are so proud of all of you!!

Congratulations, Kiki!
In all the excitement over Homecoming, I neglected to let you all know that Kiki Rice took down the 200 Free team record at the Fond du Lac meet! Kiki went a 1:56.18, which was over a second faster than the previous record. Way to go, Kiki, we are so proud of you!!
Scenes from the Homecoming Parade
Oh my gosh! The whole team had so much fun at the Homecoming Parade! I think we must have passed out hundreds of pieces of candy along the route--it was awesome! Special thanks to John Larson for providing all the paper for our float and to the Valence's for pulling the float down Wisconsin Avenue!

Athletes of the Week!
Hi Swim and Dive Families!
It was easy to pick this week's Athletes of the Week. Between the Invite and our meet against Fond du Lac, we saw all kinds of great swims and on-deck awesomeness. This week, Emily Martis, Cece Krause, and Lauren Penn were named Athletes of the Week. All three of these ladies had best times at one (if not both) of the meets. Way to go, ladies, on being named Athletes of the Week! We are proud of you!
A Whole Bunch of Thank Yous!
Hi Swim & Dive Families!
Oh my goodness! What a week! It's hard to believe it hasn't even been a week since our invite! Since then we've we've traveled to Fond du Lac, built a Homecoming float, decorated the cafeteria windows, put together our GAIN breast cancer basket, sorted thousands of dollars worth of olive oil, and swam a big bunch of yards. It's been crazy-fun! Tonight we will march together in the Homecoming parade, and tomorrow morning we will swim some more yards. We're definitely in the busy part of the season! It goes without saying that for everything we do, there are plenty of people behind the scenes who are helping us get it done. It's time to recognize those people!
Last Friday night we gathered at the Coons's house for a completely fabulous Pasta Party hosted by Lindsey and Kiki. There was delicious pasta and sauces and meatballs and a decorated driveway:
On Sunday and Wednesday, the Valences let us all pile in their yard to build our Homecoming float. Thank you, Valences, for once again letting us use your gorgeous property to spread out on to create and for driving our float down the parade route. I will be sure to post some pictures of the float after the parade!
Last Tuesday night (it seems like eons ago!) we swam against Appleton West. Beforehand, we gathered and ate all kinds of yummy sub sandwiches. Thank you, John Larson, for coordinating our dinner, and Judy Salm, Kim Dehn, Lisa Spanbauer, and Diane Hollub for being on the committee and helping to serve. It was great!
This week we had another pasta feast before our Fond du Lac meet. Thanks to Cindy Cunningham and her committee, Lori Kroeger, Diana Miller, Jayne Latreille, and Sarah Larsen, for serving us such a fantastic meal. Everyone loved it!
Finally, we like to thank everyone who helped us run such a fantastic Invite last Saturday. The Invite is a huge undertaking, and it can not be run without all of our parent volunteers. Special thanks to Karen Marquardt who ran around all day making sure our concessions stand ran smoothly. Thank you, Karen, we know that is not an easy job! Thank you, also, to our concessions workers and timers and to Karen Martis, who did all of our awards. It was all-hands-on-deck at the Invite! We appreciate each and every one of you!
Hooray for all of our awesome parent volunteers!

Athletes of the Week!
Hi Swim & Dive Families!
Oh boy! I am really late getting last week's awesome Athletes of the Week up on the blog! Sorry! It had nothing to do with the three amazing athletes we picked and everything to do with Homecoming hallway prep and the Invite! Anyway--here are last's week's Athletes of the Week: Caroline Dehn, Julia Harvath, and Jen St. Pierre! All three of these ladies were very deserving of the honor--they are all making a huge effort both in the water and on deck! Congratulations, ladies! We are proud of you!
