Physicals and Other Reminders

Hi Swim and Dive Families!

Just checking in to make sure you have scheduled your sports physical for the upcoming girl's season.  You will not be able to get in the water if we do not have a current physical on file.  Please note that physicals are good for two academic years.  If you are unsure about whether or not your physical is still current, please contact Mrs. Dohr at (ldohr@neenah.k12.wi.us) or at 751-6900, x105.

In addition, all swimmers need to have their completed eligibility forms turned into Mrs. Dohr before our first practice on August 12th.  You can find all the necessary forms by clicking on the "forms" link over on the right side of the blog.  That link will direct you to Neenah High School's Athletics page.   Eligibility forms are on the right side of that page.  You will need to print out each form and complete them.  Turn in your completed forms to Mrs. Dohr in the Activities Office (enter at Door 3) before August 12th.

As always, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns!

2014 NHS Swim Camp

 Hi Swim and Dive Families!

Man-oh-man!  We had so much fun at this year's NHS Swim Camp!  We had all kinds of enthusiastic little Rocket swimmers and a big bunch of fantastic counselors!

We had fun in the water and doing dryland exercises!

The second group of campers contained quite a few club swimmers and returning campers.

It's so much fun to see how much progress our campers make from year to year!

As always, we finished the week with a mini-meet, which is always a highlight for the campers.  Our hope is that we helped foster a love for our sport over the course of the week.

Coach Raeth and I would like to say a big thank you to all of our fabulous camp counselors.  Our high school swimmers did an excellent job teaching and playing with the campers, and they were excellent ambassadors for our program.  Thank you for giving up your first week of summer vacation, counselors--we couldn't run the camp without you!

Until next year--keep swimming, campers!

Congratulations, Draven, & NHS State Swimmers!

 Hi Swim & Dive Families!

We would like to say a big congratulations to Draven Fuestel, who is the 2014 Wisconsin DI State Diving Champion!  Way to go, Draven--we are all incredibly proud of you!  You did a fantastic job representing yourself and the Neenah Swim & Dive program at the state meet.
We'd also like to congratulate Coach Foulks on coaching both Draven and Hazel to State Championships in the same year!  That is a huge accomplishment!
Finally, we'd like to congratulate the rest of the state team, who along with Draven, finished in 18th place at the state meet.

Congratulations on a great season NHS Boys Swim & Dive team!

2013 State Diving Champion, Hazel Hertting!

There she is, our very own State Champion, Hazel Hertting!  Look how great she looks on top of that winner's podium!  Check out that big smile!  That is the smile of a champion--someone who has trained hard and accomplished her goal. Hazel certainly had a banner day on Saturday, scoring 463.10 points to take home the title.  Her score is the 6th highest in Wisconsin state diving history-- wow!  The entire team, student body, and administration is incredibly proud of your accomplishment, Hazel!  Way to go!

Want to see how she won?  Check out these shots of Hazel in action on Saturday:

 Amazing, right?
You are a true champion, Hazel!
Congratulations!
